NOMOS Glashuette is based in the watchmaking capital of Germany and not only designs their own calibres, but actually manufacturers them as well. In 2024 NOMOS Glashuette again developped a new calibre: DUW 4601. The first model to feature this special movement with two date functions is the Tangente 2date with referfence 135SB.

Discover the exquisite Tangente, featuring a 37.5-millimeter case adorned with two striking red date displays that blend seamlessly. For the first time in a hand-wound watch, the exclusive NOMOS ring date showcases the full month, while the prominent date window at 6 o'clock highlights today’s date. As the clock strikes midnight or when the quickset function is engaged, both displays elegantly animate the white silver-plated dial, enhanced by rhodium-plated hands—creating a captivating visual experience.

This date caliber beautifully highlights the NOMOS swing system, our exclusive escapement. Featuring a blue balance spring, this innovative component is surrounded by exquisite sunbeam ribbing. It enhances the traditional three-quarter plate, a hallmark of Glashütte watchmaking, while incorporating the date ring's plate around the movement. The elegantly skeletonized balance cock allows for a clearer view of the NOMOS swing system. The mainspring barrel, capable of storing power for up to 52 hours, isn't shown in the image. Additionally, the quick-set date function offers convenience, allowing you to effortlessly advance the date with just a few turns of the crown. Simply pull the crown into the second of three positions to activate this feature.
